Hey guys!

I  just got back from fall break, i went to minnesota and stayed with my aunt and uncle there. fall break was about 4 days long and spent the first day traveling there. sunday i went to church and then when to parks and stuff with my little cousins (their 4,4, and 3). then my grandma came up to stay with us too and me and her watched a movie (Sweet Land, a very slow moving indie film). got to talk to my mom and dad that night too. monday i when shopping at target, took sent the cousins off to pre-school and hung out a bunch with old friends who came up to see me. that evening went eat thai food with relatives. (thai food was pretty good, almost authentic). got to talk to lucia that night too. Then tuesday i traveled back and my internet hasn't been working since i've gotten back. Luckily my suite-mates live on the corner of the building and from one of their windows they can pick up the wireless from someone elses house, so thats how i'm writing this post. haha. Anyway, my weekend was a good balance of family, friends, homework, and sleep. I hope everything is going well over there, i hear some amazing things are happening in the youth group. I miss you guys so much and pray that life is going well for all of you over there.

hey guys!

man this week has been pretty crazy couple things that happened:

1. monday night there was a huge storm and the power went out and people were running out in the rain while there was lightning and stuff, and tree on campus was struck by lightning, the cafe area was flooded up to 18 inches at one point and now its closed caus e they're changing the carpet and drywall.

2. theres been about 70 cases of mumps so far at my school, i haven't gotten it yet, but i'm sure my time will come.

3. i've been having a lapse of apathy for my homework, i just don't feel like doing it anymore, the procrastination from high school has finally caught up with me and i have trouble focusing.

but things are going great, lots of friends, plenty to do, so yeah, just updating for y'all.

(thats right, i said y'all)

wow..... i can finally see my xanga. this entire time i haven't been able to see anything from my site. well, its been a while since i've posted but i don't think i'll be describing everything thats been happening here. I've moved into my dorm, i love my roomate, hes a dutchman whose been an mk in china for 16 years. we get along really well together. classes have also gone really well, i've enjoyed them although right now i'm seriously behind on work, but i'll be trying to make it up. I'm taking classes like philosophy and sociology which is all really interesting. So when i got here, the health department called me in because the TB test i took in Thailand "wasn't good enough for them" or something, so i had to take it again. this time i turned out positive and i had to get an xray done. I just got back from the doctor's today, they said the xray was fine, but they recommended that i take medication. so they have me taking 2 pills a day for 4 months (originally it was going to be 9 months, but i convinced them that i would never be able to pull of that level of diligence). The medication they said shouldn't affect me at all except they told me that it will turn my pee orange, and also my sweat and eyes might tint a bit. (reminds me of the gatorade commercials.) But otherwise things have been great here, i've made a bunch of friends and theres a really strong sense of community here that really makes me feel comfortable. In honor of the L.O.P. i have begun taking pictures of my nose with peoples cellphones. Although they probably don't understand.... thats okay.

well, i'll tell you guys more later, right now i'm going to radio shack
